Another Mega-Hyped Product That Disappoints |
| |
|
Knowning better |
Have you come across any of the current plethora of Clickbank products retailing at around $37 to
$39? There really does seem to have been a whole load of them recently and they all seem to follow the
same pattern.
A severely hyped up sales page/video which does everything except tell you exactly what the product is or what it
does.
Lots of screenshots of Clickbank showing mega earnings plus others of truly unbelievable traffic statistics. They
can truly have you believing that you will be on your way to success tomorrow if you just buy their product
today.
Well, I weakened and actually bought one the other day. Yes, yes, I know, I’ve been online for far too long to fall
for these ruses, but… it really did have me going. The product is called Free Mass Traffic, and the sales page goes
into great detail of how this new software was developed and how it can increase your traffic by a million and one
per cent (or something like that) which will, of course, lead to mega earnings. Aaah, if only it was that
easy….
When you’ve absorbed all the hype on the sales page, woe betide you if you try to click away. You will need to
journey through another five or six (I lost count) pages before they will finally allow you to go elsewhere. The
final page actually offers a $10 discount which, needless to say, I took advantage of.
When you have paid your fee and try to go to the download page, you once again have several obstacles to overcome
by way of one time offers before you finally get to the download page. This is another similarity between all these
offers, having got your $37 or whatever, the first OTO you are offered always seems to be priced at $197. Refuse
that and they come down in price and try again, and again, and again…
When I finally got to download the product I had paid for, I found that it is simply a new piece of software for
submitting to directory sites, rss feeds and social websites. What a palaver just to sell submission software, of
which there is loads on the market already.
There are some very good marketing lessons to be learned from studying these type of sites. They do a lot of things
correctly, but to such an extent that it really is overkill. However, having said all of that, if you are in the
market for submission software, then $27 is a good price. You can check it out if you wish at
